What we collect

• Account details: name, email and (if you sign up with a password) a secure hash of it. With Apple or Google sign-in, the identity those providers send us.
• Recordings and transcripts: the audio you upload or record in the browser, the text made from it, summaries, translations, flashcards, quizzes and your notes.
• Usage data: an anonymous cookie that tracks the single free transcript before sign-in, your IP address and browser details.
• Payments: handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.

How we use it

Only to run the service: transcribe audio, run the AI features, manage your account and subscription, and prevent abuse. Your recordings and text are never used to train models and never sold for advertising.

Who we share it with

Audio is sent to the Whisper model on fal.ai for transcription; text goes to Google Gemini for summaries and study tools. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 and data in MongoDB. These providers process data only on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

Recordings and transcripts stay in your account until you delete them. Delete a recording from its menu, or your whole account under Account › Your data. A free transcript made before signing in moves into your account when you sign in.
